Go Commando Fitness - Revolutionising personal training and you!

I Go Commando Cause it Feels Good

"Variety is the spice of life that gives it all it's flavour"

William Cowper

We believe that making the decision to train with Go Commando is a step towards a happier, healthier you. Not only will you be getting fitter, but you will be on a path to better lifestyle. Importantly however, we recognise that being fit is more than just being able to do multiple repetitions of an exercise or jog around a park. You want to be fit as a general rule, able to partake in a range of activities, confident in your ability to keep up. Joining Go Commando is about making a lifestyle choice, not just a decision to get fitter.

To this end, GO Commando incorporates a variety of different fitness based activities (based on your interests), into your program to help you reach your goals and enjoy yourself along the way. We will not only seek to vary any and all sessions you come to, but will work to ensure you undertake exercises you may not otherwise do. For example our training sessions may vary between:

  • Oval workouts - Utilising the parkland environment and your body weight to do a range of strength and and cardiovascular training
  • Soft Sand workouts - Organising to meet you at a beach to do a soft sand workout, or brick training with swimming
  • Playing park based games with your group, all designed to test your fitness
  • Meeting you to go kayaking or other water based activities
  • Visiting a gym to have increased access to weight, cardio and flexibility training

Benefits of Training with Go Commando

Getting and staying fit and healthy is more about the formation of routines rather than a sole focus on the exercise you undertake. In order to help you we not only offer a diverse range of exercises, but will tailor an exercise program and a lifestlye program which will help you achieve what you need. Once you sign up with Go Commando you can expect:

  • Us to discuss your desired outcomes and your goals
  • A welcome emall and medical background information request
  • You and your GO Commando trainer to undertake a lifestyle questionnaire, as well as a physical assessment. Once collated the results will be analysed and forwarded to you, with our recommendations.
  • We will ask if you would like any nutritional advice. If so we will ask you to complete a 1 week food diary and with this we will provide an overview of suggestions on where dietary improvements could be made
  • The accumulation of all of the above information will enable GO Commando to create an individualised program for you and a relevant calender to keep on track.
  • We train together!
  • After 4-8 weeks, you will receive a Progression Chart so that you can monitor your progress and make any further adjusments as required.

Our philosophy is to help you improve your lifestyle. As such, we aim to make the hours you wish to train as flexible as possible. We have a number of trainers who offer different time throughout the day, meaning most times you wish to train can be accomodated.

  • As a general rule, unless previously arranged, the earliest start time we offer is 6am start
  • We can train throughout the day and offer lunch time sessions as well
  • Because it is hard to say when you can get out of work, we offer sessions which start as late as 7.30pm
  • We offer training on Saturday mornings for our standard rate, but after midday and/or on Sundays our rate will change. Please ask us about rate changes and how they may affect you.
