Some people perform better one-on-one and some people respond better to competition and therefore do their outdoor training in groups. If you are one of the later, or even if you just want to train in a group because it is more economical on the hop pocket, then consider joining our group training programs - Commando Camp.

The philosophy of Commando Camp is the same as it is for personal training sessions: Push you to achieve what you have set as a goal. Prior to you starting any exercise in a group, we will email or call you to find out more about you and what makes you tick. We know not everyone wants to divulge their personal matters in front of others, but by telling us in advance, our trainers can give you the personal attention required to make sure you are achieving everything you want from a session and more.

Group training has a number of advantages which make is an attractive option for you:

  • More affordable than one on one fitness sessions with GO Commando
  • Paired and group exercises mean you need to perform to a certain standard, which means you have to push yourself
  • More diverse range of exercises
  • The development of new friendships
  • You can bring your own mates and compete or use it as a way to get together (see also our corporate training programs)
  • We ensure our group exercise sessions do not get too large, so you still feel like you are getting personal attention

What you can Expect of Commando Camp

Commando Camp has been designed to make exercising a challenge, yet something that you enjoy doing. We want you to look forward to each session, knowing that you will be pushed, that you may hate something at the time, yet that at the end of the exercise or session you are able to share some laughs and know that you have achieved something. Our sessions are varied - catering to all fitness levels and preferences - so that at no time will you ever do exactly the same session twice. In a 4 week Commando Camp Session you can expect to undertake some of the following (plus many others):

  • Fitness test (a run and strength testing including push ups, sit ups, plank and wall sit)
  • Boxing
  • Aerobic and anerobic exercises
  • A Stair session
  • Intense leg/arm/core workouts
  • Hybrid sessions
  • A scenic run

We currently run a number of Commando Camps in the morning before work and at night after work. Finding a time and location to suit you should be relatively easy.
